Timber frames offer great potential for creating interesting, affordable and practical spaces. A combination of good design and a high level of craftsmanship are the hallmarks of Adam Slatter Carpentry & Timber Framing. I fabricate and assemble timber frame buildings, steps, porches, balconies, decking & conservatories to both traditional and contemporary designs, using green oak and green douglas fir. For clients wishing to do their own building, I provide a full range of architectural services from the early design and conception phase with outline costs, through to planning and building regulations, drawings, and project management. Or you may already have your own architect and wish me to carry out the frame design only. I then work with all the relevant trades to ensure a high quality of finish over the complete project and I am happy to give fixed prices rather than estimates on all work. Coming from a family tradition of building and a career in cabinet making, I offer a unique approach to timber framing resulting in individual, beautifully designed and well-finished buildings. I have a particular interest in using locally sourced green oak and green douglas fir as well as in making all of our buildings as energy efficient as possible.
